Vacation: Mall of America

Here are the pictures that were taken at the Mall of America, one of our vacation destinations. (Doesn't that sound highfalutin?! Hhhhha!!)

As usual, these pictures are in nearly OPPOSITE order, ha. :\

HUUUUGE robot helicopter with dude coming down from it (all made with regular Legos!), completely filling the entire two stories above the actual Lego Store:

Some of the robot is visible here, as is the bucking bronco:
"Pick-a-Brick" wall:
Looking straight up at the robot (The solid, bright yellow beams act as walls and ceiling):
Lego murals:
Saber tooth tiger and cave man w/ spear (robot & Minotaur in background):

Lego Store from second floor overlook (From this vantage point one can see things that can't be seen from below!):
Tail of huuuuuuuge Lego snake:
Lego design computers:
Close-up of a portion of the moose mural with my hand for size comparison:
Shopping [Precious little was actually purchased at the store. You see, Lego connoisseurs recognize inflated prices and small selections....]:
A different perspective [I was told that the display designs are changed every six months to a year in each of the Lego stores throughout the country.]:

From the 3rd floor overlook (See the top of the Lego helicopter?) [What you see most of is the theme park out there!!]:

Really enjoying your posts. You took a lot more pictures of the Lego stuff than I did.

Looks like a fun trip! Alan and I went there once and the main thing I remember is Alan wanting to be the lucky person who got the job of building the Lego displays! :)
