Wed., Aug. 22

Today was quiet ... almost dull. Jeremy worked his long day at the building. I spent some time on the phone with loved ones in the Gallain Valley [That always makes me happy. :) ] and did some smaller, "miscellaneous" projects around the house. It was a "No Nap Day" for Justus today because we had a Bible study at the building we didn't know about until mid-afternoon; we had to be there at 5:30. The chilren played for hours, today, with the bug/animal/fish collection!

Here are more pictures from "the archives" - lol. This catches me up, so from here on out it will be more recent pictures. Hmmmm, I'm wondering if I have already posted this picture! Oh well, if so at least it's a nice one to see twice. It's a picture of a double rainbow, taken from our bedroom window facing south.



Lillian told me that the monsoon storms used to come in at 3pm every afternoon, like clockwork. Now they arrive anywhere between 1 and 10pm. The picture below was taken in mid-July at 6pm. It was a-l-m-o-s-t as dark as night!! It reminded me of tornado weather - except the sky wasn't green. Sorry about the rain splotches on the lens.... Use your imagination and it might make you feel like you're 'there'. ??! lol

While we were in MT, Jim Blount (below, right shirt) designed a garden box for us, using material he had on-hand. Since Jim is mostly-blind he gets help with projects such as this from a neighbor-friend of the Blounts, Sid (below, blue shirt), who joined Jim and me one 90+ degree morning at 8am to put the thing together. Sorry, no picture of it put together - yet.

Okay. Somewhere along the way, the children were gifted with an entirely-cool set of clay that, when baked, turns into eraser material! We remember not from whom this gift came, but it provided a fun-filled hour of creativity for Jeremy and the children a few weeks ago!! The erasers below are Jeremy's creations.

Here is Justus's 'eraser'. Still don't know how the thing would go on a pencil. But BOY, did he enjoy making it!! And, I guess that's what counts when you're FIVE! lol

I think it was Jeremy who made the eraser in the form of a snake - with tongue sticking out.

One evening last week we were settli gin for a game of Little Trackers (Justus's current favorite); everyone looked so sweet I decided to shoot the moment. However, just as the camera was taking the picture everyone went freaky on me!! Pity me, please!

We have some big-looking children these days. I seem to be shrinking - by the DAY. This was one evening close to bedtime -- hence the PJs.

After ten years of marriage, the Double Wedding Ring quilt Mom made for Jeremy and me could not hold on a day longer. Thankfully, before it was completely shreds Sydni came to the rescue for us. Here is what the new quilt looks like on our bed!! [For the record, no she didn't make it. Had she made it she would have chosen a more interesting design and color scheme, I believe ... from the looks of her work!!]
